This newly designed two-bedroom villa comes from the Swedish architect/builder with whom we have maintained a long-standing collaboration. The property is planned for Sayan, just outside Ubud, yet the same concept can be constructed on another plot should you prefer a different location.
The idea behind this design is to bring back what many people once appreciated most about Bali: a comfortable home set within a generous tropical garden, accompanied by a proper swimming pool. In a market increasingly filled with compact villas and apartment-style units, larger residential homes are becoming less common. For buyers seeking a peaceful place to enjoy long-term living or retirement, this villa may be a very appealing choice.
The property is arranged over two levels.
The ground floor offers an open, airy living space that has been thoughtfully divided into several functional areas. The lounge is positioned toward one side, while the dining space sits just behind it. A modern kitchen with an island provides ample working space for cooking and entertaining. This floor also features a guest toilet for convenience.
On the upper floor you arrive at a spacious balcony that connects to both bedrooms. Each room includes its own en-suite bathroom, ensuring comfort and privacy for residents or guests.
The outdoor area features a sizable swimming pool suitable for proper laps. Sunbeds can be placed on the terrace alongside the pool, making it an ideal spot to relax. As an additional highlight, the villa includes a sauna paired with an ice-cold plunge bath.
Situated in Sayan, the property is around a 15-minute drive from central Ubud. For families, the location is also convenient for the Green School. Being positioned on the southern side of Ubud means traffic is generally lighter, allowing you to reach the school in roughly 20 minutes. The wider Ubud area offers an extensive selection of restaurants, cafés and shops, while several dining options are located close to the villa itself. A large Pepito and Cocomart can be reached within about five minutes, and the local market is only a short walk away.
Our long partnership with this architect/builder allows us to vouch for the quality of the finished product. Construction time is estimated at around 14 months. The listed price is an initial indication and applies to this two-bedroom villa on 500 m² of land, including a 30-year lease with a possible extension. Adjustments to the design are possible, and such changes—as well as alternative material choices—may influence the final price.
If you prefer another area, that is also an option. The architect has several plots available, including in Singakerta and Penestanan. Please note that the Penestanan plot can only be accessed by motorbike or on foot.
Should you require further information, we would be pleased to assist you. Together with the architect, we can explore how to adapt the villa to suit your wishes and budget. Perhaps before long, you will be the owner of a modern and comfortable home in Bali.
