Located absolutely beachfront in the village of Kalibukbuk, Lovina, on Bali’s north coast, this villa is a beautiful, contemporary-styled, four-bedroom holiday home. 

It is characterised by a thatched roof, high ceilings, white walls and polished concrete floors, and filled with antiques, artwork and curios that cleverly capture the ambience of a bygone era.

The fully-staffed villa comprises a main two-storey building housing three bedrooms, a living room and a kitchen; as well as a standalone, open-sided living and dining pavilion, and a standalone guesthouse within an enchanting garden complete with jungle pool and Jacuzzi. 

It is ideal for families and groups of friends.

There are four bedrooms at the villa, the master suite and adjoining rooftop deck covers the whole of the upper floor, while the three guestrooms are situated on ground level, two in the main building and one in a standalone pavilion hidden in the garden. 

Each bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed, and equipped with air-conditioning, a ceiling fan and reading lamps; each has an en-suite marble bathroom with an overhead shower. 

The splendid master suite is a huge room fit for a king, with a four poster king-size bed, kilim rugs and antique cabinets from Southeast Asia. 

The ensuite master bathroom, which incorporates a dressing area with fitted wardrobes, is also very spacious and fitted with twin washbowls, a monsoon shower, and a magnificent bathtub that is big enough for two.

A standalone, open-sided living and dining pavilion is located poolside, cooled by ceiling fans and serenaded by the gentle sound of the nearby water features. 

Under its soaring ‘alang alang’ thatched roof, the pavilion is furnished with a long wooden dining table for ten, and has a sitting area furnished with two sofas. 

An antique statue, Southeast Asian artefacts, a Chinese screen, and kilim rugs complete this picture of open-air living at its best. 

A retro-style kitchen, well-equipped with all the modern appliances, is conveniently positioned close to the dining area on the ground floor of the main building.

Inside the main building, on the ground floor, is a large and elegant living room, cooled by ceiling fans and showcasing some exquisite antiques, artwork and furnishings.  Here, two wicker sofas are oriented around a satellite-channel TV and DVD player. Floor to ceiling glass doors slide open to the beachside garden.

Accessed by a staircase and carved wooden doors from the Eastern Isles, the rooftop deck sits adjacent to the master suite and is bordered on one side by tall trees.  From here, guests can enjoy beautiful views of the garden, the beach and the sea to the front, and the forested hills and mountains behind.  Adorned with potted plants, the main part of the deck is sheltered by the villa’s thatched roof, while one side is open to the sunshine and the sky.
