Which is your favorite beach in Bali – and why?

Bali forum

Bali offers beaches for every taste. The south coast is home to lively spots like Kuta and Seminyak, perfect for surfing and sunset views. In contrast, Sanur and Nusa Dua provide a peaceful atmosphere for families or those seeking quiet relaxation. For a more natural escape, beaches like Pandawa and Melasti combine dramatic cliffs with turquoise waters and fewer crowds.

Every beach has its own magic – from sunrise to sunset.

💭 Which beach do you love most, and what makes it special to you?

Answer suggestions:

  • Kuta Beach – vibrant and perfect for surfing.
  • Sanur Beach – calm and family-friendly.
  • Nusa Dua – elegant and relaxing.
  • Pandawa Beach – stunning cliffs and blue water.
  • Melasti Beach – scenic and less crowded.
  • Others – I have a different favorite!

I prefer quiet beaches like Pantai Perasi (White Sand Beach) near Candidasa. It’s relaxed, natural, and not built up.

Nusa Dua Beach is our favourite. The sand is clean, the water is calm, and it’s very safe for swimming — even with teenagers.

Sanur Beach is our go-to. The water is calm, the waves are small, and it’s perfect for young swimmers. It’s one of the safest beaches for children in Bali.

Pererenan Beach. It’s close to where I live, less chaotic than Echo Beach, and great for sunsets.

I am not a big beach person, but if I want to relax near the ocean I go to the quiet parts of Ketewel. It is not touristic and the sound of the waves is perfect for thinking or reading.

My favourite beach is Balangan Beach. It has a laid-back atmosphere, great waves, and fantastic sunset views. It’s developed enough to be comfortable, but it still has that raw charm surfers love.

I don’t spend much time at the beach, but if I had to choose, I’d say Virgin Beach in Karangasem. It’s less crowded than many others, and the surroundings still feel natural.
