Is it your dream to live in the middle of a jungle, to be one with nature? Then you will certainly like this bamboo house near Ubud. This bamboo house is surrounded by a tropical forest. The land ends at a river. Yes, there are some other houses in the immediate vicinity, but due to the thick vegetation, these villas are indistinguishable.

What can you expect from this property? This bamboo house consists of 2 floors.

On the ground floor we find the living room with kitchen area. On this floor you have access to 2 closed cupboard spaces.

The bathroom is located between the ground floor and the first floor, halfway up the stairs. A spacious open bathroom with toilet and shower.

When we arrive on the first floors, you enter the sleeping area. Central to this room is the bed with, of course, a mosquito net above it to keep insects away. Some storage spaces have been created under the eaves.

A small plunge pool has been created next to the house.

In front of the bamboo house is a bamboo tree house. You can enter this tree house via a staircase made of bamboo. It is possible to use this area as an extra sleeping place. A mosquito net is already provided. Place a mattress here and you have an extra sleeping place available.

Next to the treehouse is a partially open toilet and shower room.

The house has access to a small carport where a few motorcycles can be parked. A car can possibly be parked a little further from the land.

There is still room on the land to possibly place a few extra bamboo houses. The current owner, who is also the architect of this bamboo house, has already made plans for it.

The house is located in the area of Nyuh Kuning, the village south of Ubud. With a motorbike you will probably drive to Ubud in about 10 minutes.

It should be mentioned that this property will not be suitable for everyone. Do you assume that you will live in the middle of nature. All rooms in the house are open except for the 2 cupboards. So, insects fly in and out. Because everything is open, you will also depend on the weather. When it rains, drops of water may enter the living or sleeping area. Of course, you can lower the roller blinds, but then it can get clammy.

However, if you do not find this a problem at all, then this property will certainly be suitable for you.

Finally, it should be mentioned that the house does need some maintenance. The roof will be repaired where necessary in February 2023. It does not leak into the house, but the weather has affected certain parts of the roof that no longer look nicely finished.
