If you’re a nature lover, then you’ll be delighted to know that our back yard is in nature, as the mountain climbs directly up behind us. Get to do some bird watching or get to watch the monkeys playing in the trees. It’s ok as they are wild, so don’t generally come too close to humans.

Candidasa has it all, from hiking, cycling in the mountains, snorkeling or a diving trip around the islands just 20min by local boat off our shore. During the seasons there’s Yoga at the local Ashram, and the best white sand beaches in Bali, with some of the most epic snorkeling right off the beach. And not to brag, but we even have a fabulous point-break for those surfer fanatics out there, just North of us.

Candidasa is also an anomaly, off the main tourist track, well away from the city, but strangely enough has more western style dining options than you can point a stick at. The best burgers in town, to wood fired pizza, Vegetarian, Indian, Australian and French cuisine, the list goes on.

And if you’re a music lover, then you’re absolutely going to love this little coastal town, with just about every kind of live music playing many nights of the week during the season, from Jazz to Rock, Unplugged, Chill-out to Reggae, it’s got it all.

Finally, the villa has 3 listings on Airbnb, the entire home, downstairs option and upstairs option. You see, we designed the home to provide us with options, so there are 2 separate, private entrances, plus an internal staircase, so you can, as we have done, live in one area and rent out the other. The income we created not only covered our monthly costs of the entire villa this strategy generates a really nice return on your investment. Even during the lockdowns, we took in long-term expat rentals and that income from the one floor covered all running costs, which meant we were able to keep all staff in place on full salary, which was a gift few in Bali were able to do.
