Bali is an Indonesian island, located between Java and Lombok. It is one of the country’s 33 provinces with the provincial capital at Badung towards the south of the island.
With a population recorded at about 3.200.000, the island is home to the vast majority of Indonesian’s small Hindu minority. About 95% of Bali’s population adheres to Balinese Hinduism, while most of the remainder follow Islam. It is also the largest tourist destination in the country and is renowned for its highly developed arts, including dance, sculpture, painting, leather, metalworking and music.

The island of Bali is relatively small, with the size of aroung 5,000 square km, one can cover the whole circling of the island within a day without stop. But for a planning of sightseeing it is very important that one knows the distances between places or town in Bali including the interesting places that might be planned to be visited during their holiday in Bali.
